Interment means the opening, preparation and closing of a grave. The purchase or lease of a new grave, memorial, burial plot and any weekend or non-resident surcharge are separate unless the cemetery expressly states otherwise. Prices can change and the final third-party charges will be itemised in your quotation.

Terms of business and payment

Costs explained
before you decide.

Funeral costs are made up of Everlay’s fees and third-party costs, sometimes called disbursements. These may include crematorium or cemetery fees, minister or officiant fees, floral tributes and other services chosen by your family.

Before the funeral, we require payment in full of all estimated third-party costs and a deposit equal to 10% of Everlay’s funeral service fees. The remaining balance will be invoiced one week after the funeral and is payable within 28 days.

If an account remains unpaid after this date, we reserve the right to charge interest at 3% above our bank’s prevailing base rate. The Simple Funeral and both Unattended Funeral packages must be paid in full before the funeral takes place.
