Costs clearly explained

Chinese funeral costs,
understood before you decide.

The cost of a Chinese funeral depends on the practical funeral arrangements, the chosen Taoist or Buddhist ceremony, its duration, the number of ministers, traditional items and third-party charges.

Everlay provides a clear written quotation before arrangements are confirmed.

Hinzen

What makes up the cost

Practical and ceremonial costs.

A complete quotation may include Everlay’s funeral director services, Hinzen’s ceremonial services and payments made to third parties. These areas are shown clearly rather than combined into an unexplained total.

  • Care and transport of your loved one
  • Coffin, hearse and family vehicles
  • Funeral director and bearers
  • Venue, burial or cremation
  • Ministers and ceremony duration
  • Traditional clothing, offerings and ritual items
  • Flowers, printing and memorial arrangements
  • Long-distance travel or repatriation where required

Ceremony choices

The ceremony affects the price.

A focused ceremony with fewer ministers and shorter duration will usually cost less than an extended programme held over one or two days.

Hinzen will explain what each ceremony includes so your family can choose an appropriate level of observance.

Third-party fees

Charges set by other providers.

Crematorium, cemetery, burial plot, interment, doctor, venue and some officiant fees are set by outside organisations. They are not included unless the written quotation says so.

We confirm current charges wherever possible before the family agrees to proceed.

Your written quotation

No unexplained additions.

Your quotation will identify what is included, what is optional and which costs may change because they are controlled by a third party. Any requested change will be discussed before it is added.

Our current package prices and additional charges are available on the pricing page.

UK and Europe

Location can affect the total.

Travel distance, repatriation, accommodation, local venue rules and the availability of ministers or suppliers can affect arrangements outside our local area.

We will do our best to assist throughout the UK and Europe and will explain location-related costs in writing.
